Best type of monitor lizard?

I really would like to eventually get a monitor lizard. I've been looking around for the perfect breed. At the moment I know where I can get a savannah monitor, but they can get three or four foot. I then found the pygmy mulga monitor but they are too small. I was hoping someone new of a monitor that get to a 1 1/2 or 2 foot.
