What hair color would look best for me?

I was watching the miss usa pageant and the girl who won, miss california, i absolutely loved her hair. WELL I have very pale skin with blue eyes and i was wondering if i dyed my hair a chestnut or auburn color would it be too dark for my skin i want it to be a deep red any suggestions? right now my hair is a natural dark brown
