Proxy server used to for running my CCTV application software.?

I would like to setup my CCTV application software on a proxy server. Will I be able to do this or will there be restriction. My camera system does not allow me to use my cell phone for viewing nor do i want to carry with me a laptop where ever i go so i would like to put this application on a external servo to login an view my home from abroad. Is this the way to go, and is there a good free site that i could us to do this.
