How to keep my frog from getting bored...?

I have a (this is a long one) African pygmy albino water frog (I don't know whether its an African Clawed Frog, or an African Dwarf Frog). It lives exclusively in water, therefore a half and half tank wouldn't help it, but still comes to the very surface of the water to breathe air. I having a feeling that the poor creature is bored, since today I found it uprooted a fake -plant that was in its tank and was trying to anchor it back down again. Does anyone have any suggestions on something I could put in the tank that would make its life more enjoyable? Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
