How do I become a model?

Ok for sometime now I have really wanted to model. I kno u need a portfolio and an aggencie but I really don't know any actual steps I'm very photogenic and uaselly always win that side award at pageants I just really want to know an estimate price of how much it isto get into modeling and what are some good agencies and just any other details btw I'm 11 5'3 1/2 (I kno I'm short) and unfortuantly live in Alabama but am willing to sign with agencies in Georgia,missippi,teneesse,or Florida ya know I'm not for sure that I'd even get signed with an agenicy in new York but I'd certainly be willing way better oppurtunaties
